Sri.
T. Devender Goud was born on 18th
March, 1953 in Tukkuguda village, Maheswaram Mandal,
Rangareddy District in Andhra Pradesh. After his schooling,
he studied his Intermediate in Dharmavanth College and he
did his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Badruka College.
He was a "Student Union Leader" during his college days.
Attracted by policies of Telugu Desam Party. He joined the
T.D.P and was elected as Chairman of Zilla
Parishad, Ranga Reddy district
in 1988 by direct election with entire district as
electorate and was very successful during his five-year
tenure.
He
was elected to Legislative Assembly in December 1994 from
Medchal Constituency with a huge majority and became the
Minister with 3 major independent portfolios viz., Backward
Class Welfare, Co-operation & Total prohibition in the
Cabinet of Sri. N. Chandra Babu Naidu. He was elected to the
Legislative Assembly in October 1999 for the second time
with thumping majority and become Minister for Home, Jails,
Fire Services, NCC, Sainik Welfare, Film Development
Corporation and Cinematography.
In
April 2004 General Elections he was elected 3 rd
time from Medchal Constituency and was appointed as deputy
leader for Telugu Desam Legislature Party in Assembly and he
was also a Politburo Member.
He
is a reflection of modesty and simplicity with pleasant
manners. In short he combines politics and administration
which blends into his unique personality. He is cherished as
an able spokesman for Telugu Desam Party.
Hidden behind his out-standing political career is his "Love
for Education". A man who wishes to up lift the society and
bring about awareness in the present generation and grooming
then for the future and for it stands the
Devendra Vidyalaya
an international school of high excellence from nursery
to class X having two streams of courses. i.e. SSC and CBSE.
His ambition being to build it up to a University level.
Thus opening new avenues of education for students in and
around the surrounding areas. His determination and strong
educational plans backed by an excellent team work makes him
the torch bearer who would be paving a successful path for
the students. |
