Chalamalla Venkateshwarlu is currently Executive Director,
BODHI-Centre for Adivasi Dalit Bahujan Initiatives, and part
of Centre for World Solidarity (CWS), Secunderabad,
Andhra Pradesh. An M.A.Political Science, BCJ from Osmania
University, LLB, M.Phil from Kakatiya University, Warangal,
Andhra Pradesh. And also Research Scholar, he is pursuing Ph.D
from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, under
supervision of well known philosopher, writer, Dalit-Bahujan
intellectual and activist Prof. Kancha Ilaiah. The topic in ‘Bahujanization:The
Emerzing New Political Consciousness, A Study of Telangana
Region, and going to be submitted.
During his
career, he was lectured at AVV Degree College, Warangal, and
Journalist at Krishna Pathrika, Vartha, Hyderabad. He has been
actively engaged in community, research and published more than
ten articles in various local news papers, magazines and
national journal. He is working on the socio-economic, cultural
and political history of Adivasi Dalit Bahujans of Andhra
Pradesh. And more focused and particularly on Goud community.
Chalamalla Venkateshwarlu, is from Telangana region, had his
schooling in his native village Pedda Nagaram and district of
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh. In his book “Inthaku Goudulante
Evvaru?”, it will be of special interest to students of
political science, sociology and contemporary history and policy
makers, bureaucrats, journalists and social activists.
Venkateshwarlu spent many years amongst the Goud communities of
Telangana and draws on his first hand experience to passionately
argue for the inclusion of this persistently marginalized group
into the mainstream of Indian communities and social life. Thus
it is as relevant to students and teachers of Indian
communities, as it is to those interested in Dalit Bahujan
politics and literature, and subaltern studies. An important
essay shows how the problems faced by Goud women are different
from those encountered by non-Goud women, despite the presence
of many similarities. He is an activist in the Adivasi Dalit
Bahujan and community based identity movements. He is also one
of the founder member of Gouds Development Forum(GDF), which is
working towards unite the Gouds in all aspects. He is also one
of the Founder Member of the GOUDSINFO.COM
